Berlin Neonatology Summer School 2014
The care of the newborn infant is an ever-evolving field, and therefore neonatologists are in constant search for the best treatment available for their little patients and the evidence supporting it. The Berlin Neonatology Summer School, first launched in 2012, was set up to cover this need, combining state-of-the-art lectures, discussions on new therapies, and practical hands-on skills courses. In 2012, the Summer School was attended by participants from 25 countries, and we expect a similar number in 2014.
The venue chosen for the 2014 Summer School is right in the historical centre of former West Berlin, with excellent public transportation links to the airports and long-distance railway lines. Places in the workshops covering topics such as endotracheal intubation, non-invasive ventilation, pneumothorax drainage, infant transport, and emergency vascular access are limited, so early registration is advised.
